Sasmitha Dellawa – LFW AW16

flower skeleton dress final edit

I love to find new talent, so Fashion International is always a good place to head to during Fashion Week, and this season was no different. The showcase of designers featured the debut collection from Sasmitha Dellawa, born in Sri Lanka, grew up in London and now calling Canada home, she certainly lives up to the international in Fashion International.

Beautiful, elegant, dreamlike, the collection has a rustic simplicity that just floats along. The delicate flowers and detailing add a feminine chic to the simple understated themes that run through the pieces. I’ve been going to Fashion Week for a decade and in that time I’ve seen very few debuts that are as amazing as this one. I’m laying down today that Sasmitha Dellawa is a name to take note of.
