Another Shredded Day

Once more the day ends with tears and blood, another day when people doing no more than going to work, to get a coffee, do some shopping or see friends suddenly were blown from existence, in fatal seconds the world had yet another tragedy unfolding.

This world has become one of people who perceive their ability to kill is more just than any slight or act they may feel against them. They murder with impunity, with some may say, with zeal. They want to tear us and our communities apart. Whether here in Europe on in the other parts of the world that have known, or will suddenly one day know the effect of terrorism we all must feel anguish and pain to the very core of our souls.

Terror is a concept, it is used against so many in this world, it for many is a daily fear when they leave the house. But in these moments it is hard not not scream vengeance against anyone we can connect in any way. Some will try though. We will see not only the terrible blood drenched cause of the bombers and their ideology shouted at us as evidence of just cause, but that of other peddlers of hate.

There will be those that say look what the Muslims did now, look at the religion of hate, look at what they all want to do to us. Well they are part of a problem, not part of a solution. Yes we should all come together in our objection and disgust, we must feel the terrible pain of the families and friends who know the heavy price of terror in our world, but we must never let that hate into our hearts against the innocent.

We must never say a billion people are responsible for the actions of a few, a handful of bombers, 30,000 ISIS fighters. We must recall that those who tell us they are all the same ignore the murdering brutality played out daily on the citizens of Syria, of Libya and so many other nations. These terrorists destroy us all, they are not selective in their hate, we must not be selective in our love.

We remain one world and one people.
