Time makes you a veteran of the London Fashion Week rota, and Omar Mansoor arrived at LFW AW16 ready to deliver his eleventh collection at Fashion Week. We covered him for SS16 when Team:FW reporter Aneela took in the show. Though having covered Omars collections on the site, this was my first in person show.

One of the great things about covering LFW on my own terms is it allows me not just to talk about shows, but to watch how designers grow and develop over the years. I get to tell the journey not just the event, Omar Mansoor is a man on a trajectory that keeps curving higher and higher.

This season Omar is delivering his usual tailored feminine looks, but using a palette of metallics and greys. Grey and metallics you say, won’t that be dull, no, it is beautiful, the greys pick up that depth and luminosity of fabrics woven with opulence, they have a shimmer and shine that complements the metallics.

Blocks and metallics are a theme of the season, and Omar has not only captured a trend, but delivered it in his own terms. In this collection he has produced a set of designs that just scream wear me. the day looks, the evening gowns, and the  knee length dress’s are all perfect for the modern lady the Mansoor collections are known to be for. I’d go as far as to say this is the best yet.

Quite simply it’s not just Omar, its Oh My.

The event features lots of other designers curated and put on by Fashion International, and I’ll have coverage of them tomorrow.

Pictures were provided to me by PopPR to make sure you get the best views of these looks.
