The Alternative Queens Speech

Our world may seem bleaker than ever, the last few months have tested the reserve of our humanity, but let us remember, that loving each other will always be the winning formula. Lives are not just the accumulation of wealth, things, or big houses. We are all priceless.

In a time when so many will spend their Christmas, cold, alone or in fear of what lies ahead let us remember as we head into 2016 that we must be the change we want to see. Let us be that movement for change.

Here at FashionWorked it’s always been an aim to mix style and fashion with social responsibility love for all. One World, One People.

With that in mind this year has made me realise more than ever that fashion can’t be about pretty dresses, its also about fairness, equality and caring. I hope that you will join me in promoting the industry we all want to see.

I can honestly say though that this year I have seen so many inspirational people and things, the independent fashion houses are as strong as I’ve ever known. They are going to be our vanguard in change. Whether its in paying tax, responsible factories or with fair wages, they are at the forefront of doing this industry right.

I don’t think I’ve ever felt so encouraged at the traction the small labels are getting, or the volume of designers to bring you.

2016 is going to be one hell of a year.
