Why I’m With Elton, Boycott D&G

So today the fashion news sites were reporting the vile comments by Dolce & Gabbana.

In an interview they repeatedly made statements on why gay marriage and gay adoption is bad. They expanded on the prejudice that same sex marriages are not right, and that gay people couldn’t be proper families and kids are just seen as an accessory. Its time to end this utter bullshit,

We oppose gay adoptions. The only family is the traditional one.

Well lets just examine that shall we, and that examination will show as we see on ITV weekday mornings just how bad heterosexual parents can be. The Jeremy Kyle Show is a conveyor belt of bad parents. How about the fact a close friend can never know who his father is as his mum doesn’t know, the same mum that abandoned him on his grandmother doorstep on his 3rd birthday while she went present shopping, it took her 23 years to come back and she tried to con money out of him.

The family is not a fad.

The thing about being a bad parent, or not being able to love and raise a child in the best way possible has nothing to do with sexuality. It has everything to do with how you handle things, being able to offer unconditional love, knowing that support and care are important. You and your partner having matching genitals doesn’t make a difference to putting food on the table, pushing the swing, the first bike ride, or getting stuck on helping with home work. But Elton says it best  . .

Your archaic thinking is out of step with the times, just like your fashions.

I shall never wear Dolce and Gabbana ever again.

I stand with Elton John, that this has been said by these two men is tragic, it’s sad and it doesn’t support the progressive nature of the world we should be building.

Also lets be honest Elton John is one of the greatest people of all time, I bet he is an amazing Dad.
