Best Independent Brands – Dark Jinx

A couple of weeks ago I took a friend who wanted to go to a fashion event along to the Wasted Chic showcase at McQueen in Shoreditch (reviewed soon) and we made a list of the people we saw that we loved, well on both lists were 3 or 4 that I will be bringing you over the next few weeks. I wanted to start with the first one I saw, Dark Jinx. Designed and made by one of those lovely independent businesses I love in the 10 minutes I spent chatting to the designer all the boxes were ticked, beautiful, quality products designed by someone who had enthusiasm spilling over.

Hand designing each product, you can be sure that these are special products, created in keeping with the style of the label. Bold, modern and working well while pushing fashion boundaries, that most difficult of mixes is conquered and made to sparkle.

Mixing geometrically shaped and cut patterns with a wide variety of other designs, there is an amazing variety and each can be mixed and matched or used as a statement piece. We all love a statement piece, and we all love great use of colour, so here those two lines of fashion combine.

DJ5Not content with the acetate pieces available online Dark Jinx also offer a bespoke design service that offers a hugs range of colours picked in clear, frosted, or perfect for winter and christmas, glitter. So don’t delay, get over to the site and have a look for yourself, here is a chance to get in early with someone who has the talent to really go places. We love being able to say I liked them before you and this is a great opportunity for that, and to support a talented designer on the way up.
