Its 4th Of July

It’s the 4th of July, so what better way to celebrate all things US than with our fave American of all time, Tim Gunn.

Born in 1953, he has become one of the iconic faces of American fashion through his work at Parsons, and Liz Claiborne, and a little TV show called Project Runway.

We love him for his ability to silence a designer with a look, and to deliver the withering put down that become his catchphrase, “make it work”. Usually when looking at a designer that thinks mixing, neon, tassels, and rhinestones will be perfect for that weeks chic cocktail dress challenge.

Gunn is also an advocate of many things we support, gay rights, no fur, support for talented people who financially can’t afford college. Admirable qualities, and we support anyone who believes that access to the industry should be open for all.

Did we also mention he is best friends with official lifelong crush Heidi Klum? So Today is not just Independence Day, for us its Tim Gunn Day.
