FW Best Dressed Women of 2013

We thought we’d have a look back at the year and see who stood out for us as being style leaders and generally looking somewhat amazing. We’re sure you’ll disagree with our selections and rage at your screen how could he leave out . . .  wheres . . . . what no . . .

So join in the conversation and tell us who you think should have made the list

Cate Blanchett – Always a fave here at FW Towers, elegant, graceful, and loves a great classic line in a dress. Its not just us that thinks Cate has had a good year having seen her grace so many of the major magazine covers.

Gwyneth Paltrow – Someone who we think gets better every year and more in control of her style, we really think these days she is calling the shots not the movie promo machine stylists, as evidence we’d say Michael Kors asking her to collaborate can’t be that bad of a recommendation.

Helen Mirren – I don’t think we even need to say why, but in short always looks amazing and oh insert your own gushing praise here . . .

Jennifer Lawrence – We will start with Jon Stewart thinks she looks like a young Helen Mirren (awkward moment on the Daily Show) This has been her year, a few misses but hit after hit after hit from casual to red carpet she has pretty much nailed everything.

Kerry Washington – Queen of the dress during 2013, I think most ladies would die for her wardrobe to dress up, or want anything from when she dressed down.

Lea Michele – its difficult to move on from the idea of high school teen playing a badly dressed diva but it happened for Lea Michele this year, sexy, glam, yet still in her own style, mission accomplished, Rachel who?

Victoria Beckham – I can’t see a day when Mrs B doesn’t make my list, I’ve been besotted since she first stepped on the music scene, and now she is the greatest style icon we have and a damn fine designer adored by the elite and those on the High St.

  1. Fantastic list – couldn’t agree more. It appears creating/discovering your own style does come with age. All amazing sophisticated women mentioned above. Gwyneth Paltrow is such a natural beauty.

yeah, i accept its a projection of my own taste in many ways but they all have their own look, one that doesn’t change just to reflect fads or trends, especially loved Kerry Washingtons use of bold yellows more than once and Gwyneths more muted styles

  2. Glad you admired one older woman. Wish there’d been more, though.
