Music & Models – Our Top 5

We did our fashion songs top ten a while back, and that got us thinking . . .

How many songs ever talk about models or mention them in lyrics, so today we have a top 5 for you. Let us know what you think, or who you would have picked.

5 – Kraftwerk – The Model,

We couldn’t do a list like this and not feature one of the most famous songs of all time.

4 – Belle & Sebastian – The Model,

Also called the model, but so very different, I’ll admit that this would have been number 1 if it was just about personal liking, as I love B & S sooooooooooo much

3 – Eve Feat Gwen Stefani, Let Me Blow Your Mind

Some of y’all aint writin well, too concerned with fashion
None of you aint Gisele, cat walk and imagine

2- George Michael – Freedom

Pretty much every supermodel of the era is in this video, and its such a great song

1 – Elton John – Something In The Air Tonight

Music and Kate Moss go hand in hand, your not going to make the front pages of NME unless one of your band has dated her is how the 90’s felt, this Elton track has her in the video, they never dated though. OK Magazine may have exploded if they did

  1. Breaks my heart to see George Michael’s BSA jacket in flames – an iconic piece of clothing … 🙂
