5 Questions For – Sophie & Daniele From The Dolly Rockers

Sophie & Daniele are members of the pop band The Dolly Rockers. Their brand of Wonky Pop saw them have chart success with both Je Suis Une Dolly & Gold Digger, the band are currently recording new material for release in 2012 as well as running their own fashion blog & newsletters.

Is fashion a part of our cultural heritage?

I would say growing up in london surrounded by fashion and being in the dolly rockers has defiantly influenced my fashion !

Fave piece of clothing/footwear you own?

My Jeffery campbell Lita spike shoes! (image attached) they transform any outfit.

Special Dollys Question – Does being a dolly influence your style or does your style influence being a dolly?

Both really! when i shop, i generally shop for my dolly wardrobe! I suppose i’m a more girly out of the dolly rockers but my punky side shows through when im a dolly

Vintage or New?

i love to mix the two but my wardrobe is mostly swarming with new pieces …i only go vintage with the odd coat or bag!

Best place to shop?(Place not store, such as Shopping centre or city)

best place to shop: i go to asia a lot & i get amazing pieces from Singapore – Orchard road…(far east plaza in singapore to be exact!) I feel like Asian fashion is so ahead and the girls always love my unique pieces i bring back. its all from china & korea!

 
Is fashion a part of our cultural heritage?

100% yes. we’re probably some of the most experimental and expressive dressers in the world – especially in London. i think if you look back in British history, its crawling with incredible fashion eras.

Fave piece of clothing/footwear you own?

I just got these HOT new crocodile skin Doc Marten boots & i’ve worn them to death lately. Those and converse’s are my fave shoes

Special Dollys Question – Does being a dolly influence your style or does your style influence being a dolly?

I’d say my style has been influenced by being a Dolly. I’m much more daring with my outfits now and love the rock chic look
