5 Questions For – Lucy Kay From The Dolly Rockers

Lucy Kay is a member of the pop band The Dolly Rockers. Their brand of Wonky Pop saw them have chart success with both Je Suis Une Dolly & Gold Digger, the band are currently recording new material for release in 2012 as well as running their own fashion blog & newsletters.

Vintage or New?

I love Vintage for Fur and jewelry, Paris has the best vintage shops or I london I love blondie or Beyond retro.
Best place to shop?

London is the best place to shop but thatsprobably because I’ve grown up here so know where everything is! I’d love a shopping trip in Japan 

Fave piece of clothing/footwear you own?

My favourite piece is clothing are probably my Balmain leather trousers and my mink wrap dahrling! 

Fave fashion quote?

Girls do not dress for boys, they dress for themselves and of course each other. If girls dressed for boys they’d just walk around naked at all times. Betsey Johnson

 does being a dolly influence your style or does your style influence being a dolly?

Being a dolly brings out the punky side in me i suppose I think are style as a band has definitely evolved in a good way. We have had some serious fashion disasters in the past but seem to have got the balance just right now!
