5 Questions For – Polly Vernon

Today we’re very pleased to bring you the “5 Questions” feature with one of the biggest names in British fashion, Polly Vernon. Her credits include work for the Observer, The Guardian, and of course Editor At Large for the Bible that is Grazia.

Thank you Polly & heres what she had to say. . . . .

Vintage or New

New. Vintage gives me the heebie jeebies. I know this is wrong, weird and limiting. And also: unethical. But we all have our issues.

Best place to shop

I’m very into south molton street at the moment… I love the frenchies: maje and sandro especially. Also, acne rules. Urban outfitters is a right laugh, and fenwicks is often underrated. A hidden treasure.
Is fashion a part of our cultural heritage

Of course it is. Brits are – well, CAN be – amazing dressers. Experimental, theatrical, nutty. We’re dandies deep down.
Fave piece of clothing/footwear you own

A pair of leather Moto leggings from preen, and acne pistol boots probably… And a shearling duffle coat from Joseph. That’s three, I know…

Fave fashion quote

Don’t think I have one… My own: it’s all a bit of a giggle, innit?
